Biographical details

Born and grew up in the Charnwood Forest area of Leicestershire, UK.

Studied at Cardiff College of Art, UK.

Present role: Buddhist chaplain – Exeter University – running workshops and guiding staff & students in secular mindful meditation and Buddhist practice.

Recently retired as Teaching Fellow / Associate Professor in Philosophy & Art Practice, University of Plymouth.

Member of Editorial Board of Internet Journal: Consciousness, Literature and the Arts: http://www.dmd27.org/CLA.html. The board is international in representation, implements a policy of peer review and provides a forum for innovative inter-disciplinary ideas.

Exhibitions & Performances

1969-80           During the 1970’s: solo and group performances, installations and exhibitions in the UK, Canada, Holland and Australia. Including Fluxshoe, Music Train & other Fluxus–related performances. Gathered source material for texts, drawings, performances and installations while travelling extensively in N. America and Australia. At the end of the 1970’s work focused on drawings and paintings exploring the semantics of colour in relation to signs and gestures derived from tribal, Buddhist and autobiographical sources.
